Mr. Christopher Osborne

Chris joined Watson Farley & Williams in 2011 and is head of the Bangkok office’s Corporate Group. He focuses on renewable energy, cross border M&A, joint ventures, infrastructure projects and regulatory compliance. He has been based in Thailand since 2001 dealing extensively in mergers, acquisitions and renewable energy involving companies from Europe, Asia, Australia and USA. He has advised financial institutions and industry participants on project development, business acquisitions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance impacting the renewable energy sector, where he has advised Thailand’s largest wind energy developers (with 200MW connected to the grid and a further 180MW contracted for development), Solar (Photovoltaic & Thermal), waste to energy and hydroelectric project developers. He advises on all stages of the renewable energy project life cycle including regulatory & site due diligence, EPC, PPA and operations & maintenance contracting, financial agreements and legal issues arising after the commissioning of the project. He is cited in the Asia Legal 500 directory for Banking & Finance and Chambers directory for Corporate/ M&A work.
