Dr Toe Aung is the Assistant Director of Mangrove Conservation Unit in the Watershed Management Division of Forest Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation. His career with the previous Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry now known as Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation has started since 2002. He started as a Range Officer at the Forest Inventory, GIS and RS of Integrated Mangrove Management Project for a month and later became the Staff Officer of Mangrove Conservation, Restoration and Management from November 2010 to October 2013. Dr Toe Aung has continued to serve the same ministry from October 2013 until December 2015, he was in the Watershed Management Division serving as the Staff Officer of Mangrove Section for several projects and from December 2015 until present he is serving the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation as the Assistant Director. Dr Toe Aung receives his Bachelor of Science in Forestry from University of Forestry, Yezin, Pyinmana, Myanmar and continues his Masters in Master of Environment Science from Yokohama National University, Yokohama Japan in which he receives his doctorate in the discipline of Doctor of Environment Science from the same university.
